I installed one on my '86 last weekend, and after driving with it for a few days, I am very satisfied. It shortened the fore/aft shifter throw about 2". His design is very well thought out, and provides a very stable mount for the shift cable. Well worth the price. You can contact Jon at: OellJo@wwc.edu Happy MR2ing! If and when you get one from me let me know please and I'll send you my address or just send a check to the return address on the envelope. Sammy, Patrick, and Terry get theirs for free since I owe them and they have been good to me. Patrick S.: I did not mail yours because I thought I would see you at the LA auto show. What kind of crack were you smoking, anyway? Gee, lets see here....at that speed it would take either: (1) defective steering, suspension, or driveline component....or... (1) tire blowout (not uncommon at high sustained speeds)...or... (1) small object, rock, etc in the road (which you would never see)...or... (1) small section od bad road surface, crack, pothole, etc.... to equal... (1) very DEAD 10 year old....probably to mangled to identify by any other means except DNA. If you really did this you not only broke traffic laws (Montana has always had liberal speed limit enforcing, but never an unlimited, Autobahn like superhighway), you also probably violated child welfare laws and I'm sure any REAL cop would've been hauling your sorry ass to jail in about two seconds. Yeah...in my world anyways. 8) Only problem I see with paint balls is that some idiots would want to brag about how ugly their car was, like a badge of honor. Read an SF story (I think) about issuing every driver a special ee-lec-tro-magnetic gun (SF, remember :-) and every car a corresponding receiver. Don't like someone's driving, zap! Their receiver registers a hit, YOUR receiver registers a fractional hit. After 20 hits, a car won't start until its receiver has been reset by the cops. Or maybe it was by certified garages for an exorbitant fee. One trick was that it didn't kill the engine right away, just prevented it from starting again, so it wouldn't cause accidents. And the fractional hit on your own car would deter loony tunes somewhat. - -- ... _._. ._ ._. . _._. ._. ___ .__ ._. . .__. ._ .. ._. I noticed some cars that did "bad things". I have (or had) a pretty good memory so I started taking note of the cars that did something stupid. "yeah, green Ford Taurus Wagon trying to get into the offramp, as though the rest of us haven't waited for 20 minutes in this frigging line? This aint civilized". After a while, I noticed that the same cars were doing "bad things". I thought life would be easier if we all just knew up front that the driver is a jerk. Then we we accidently do something stupid (happens to the best of us), the other driver would see that you are not covered in paint, so it's a fluke. Oh...MR2 relation to this thread?
