Re: mr2-digest V1 #68 Stickers ADMIN: Web site/FTP site info Aftermarket O2 sensor for MkII? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: uunet!AZStarNet.com!sirota (David Sirota) Date: Wed, 20 Dec 1995 18:43:34 -0700 Subject: Oil Filters While shopping for new oil filters, I compared the (Fram) N/A filter with the Turbo recommended filter. They look identical except the Turbo filter was 0.25 - 0.5 inches taller and about $1.50 more. Since clearence doesn't look to be a problem, anybody know if the Turbo version is better? Are the internal by-pass pressures the same? ------------------------------ From: uunet!prism.gatech.edu!gt7852b (James C. Just for laughs and my anal curosity, I dug up my original window sticker; last option on the factory installed equipment: Rear spoiler $225.00 Kind of a rather small price to pay though I do like the occasional awkward feeling I get when I see one. Hi, Been lurking for quite a while, thought I'd say hi! Have an 87 NA and having quite a ball. Just invested in a set of sway bars from Susp Tech (and springs from TRD) and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to a good set of settings for the first time out (I believe they are 3-way adj up front and 2-way in the back). Also got some end-links from the junk-yard..should I go with these or use the rod-ends that came with the kit ? (there doesn't seem to be anyway to lubricate the rod-ends) The car is bone stock, the tires (from the previous owner) are some all weather 195/60s pieces from Sears. Had our first decent snow fall recently (over a layer of ice) and went in search of parking lot. Discovered the car was quite 'catchable' although it rotates a lot more willingly to the left (CCW from above) ...anyone else notice this ? I have converted the digested mr2 list to html formated. I have added the bookmarks for each individual mail. So you can simply click on the subjects intersting to you, and quickly move to that piece of mail instead of scrolling down the text slowly. This was tested with the Netscape 2.0b3 under linux. But...There's one thing I need to know which design most of you prefer. I would like to take a vote. Please E-mail me your preference (as it is much easier than going through the entire digest). Which ever design accumulates the most amount of votes is the one which will get printed. As for tee shirts only one other person replied, so That idea is scratched. Well have a happy holiday and I hope to see your votes soon. I get quite a few people attempting to access either the Web server or the FTP server using the wrong machine addresses. This is due to the fact that these two services run on different machines... To access the Web site, use: www.mr2.com To access the FTP site, use: ftp.mr2.com Hope this clears up any confusion. I suspect that my O2 sensor is getting "lazy" (works, but is slow). I really don't want to shell out the $169.80 that Toyota wants for a new one... Anyone ever replace the O2 sensor with say, a Bosch unit? It appears that the sensor has four wires to it and I've heard that you can get 1-wire and 2-wire units from Bosch, but what about a 4-wire? Thanks and Merry Christmas to you all!
