Once I changed my oil, didn't tighten the drain plug tight enough, leaked quite a bit of oil, and voila! the light would come on while driving. Stopping the car, turning it off, starting it and driving off again would solve the problem. I just changed the engine oil again and all was ok. Might you have an oil leak under your car? If so, getting an oil change might help. (You'll have no idea how much oil you've lost, so fill 'er up from scratch.) Hope this helps.
